Deleting accounts from Microsoft Outlook and Windows Mail is a simple task. When you remove the account, you'll discontinue access to it in that program, and you'll remove the locally stored data, but you won't delete the account itself or any messages within it.

If you’re using Outlook 2011 on your Mac, there will be times when you need to delete an old or unused email account. Here’s how to do it.
The other day I showed you how to add Windows Live Mail via POP3 to Outlook Mac 2011. Now that you know how to add an account, what about removing one?
First, launch Outlook Mac 2011. From the toolbar click Outlook >> Preferences.
Outlook Preferences opens. In the Personal Settings column click on Accounts.
The Accounts screen comes up. This will list each of the email accounts you have set up in Outlook. Here I just have one, but highlight the one you want to delete in the left panel. Then at the bottom click the minus button to deleted the selected account.
If you want to save your emails, or delete them, click the Advanced button on the Accounts screen.
Then select if you want to have your emails deleted from the server after a certain amount of time or not at all.
After deciding on what to do with your existing emails click Delete on the verification message.
After that you’re brought to the Add an Account screen. That’s all there is to it. Now you can add your new email address or just close out of this screen.
This article applies to: Outlook 2016 for Mac, Resource Accounts
By default, everyone can see the free/busy status of a Resource Account while proposing a meeting, but cannot open the resource's calendar.
This procedure explains how the owner of a Resource Account can grant additional access rights (viewing and/or editing) to a Resource Account.
First, you'll need to add the Resource Account to Outlook. You only need to do this once for each Resource Account you manage, and you may have done this already for other reasons.
Follow the first 3 steps of our View Resource Accounts in Outlook 2016 for Mac procedure. If you see the Resource Account listed, you've already completed this task, and you're ready to proceed with granting access rights. If the resource is not listed, complete the procedure to add it. You will not be able to complete the steps below until you have added the Resource Account to your view of Outlook.
